Abilities Awareness Assembly
Katie Rodriquez Banister came to our school today to talk to the students about disabilities. She has written 4 books including a children's titled Aunt Katie's Visit. Katie is a quadriplegic that was in a car accident in 1990 when she was 25 years old. She showed the students all her special tools that allow her to be independent, including her really cool wheelchair!
